There are several methods available to successfully boot homebrew on unmodified and modified Gamecubes. These methods include using a special bootdisc and memory card device, a loophole within an official Gamecube game title, a traditional modchip or a drive replacementmodchip.

I hope this is my last gamecube video. I bet you do too.Anyhow, I show you in this video how you can load Gamecube ISO's from an SD card by only using Datel. Anyhow, I show you in this video how you can load Gamecube ISO’s from an SD card by only using Datel SD Media Launcher and of course a memory card. NO MOD CHIP NEEDED. NO POT TWEAK NEEDED FOR SD LOADING. I’ve been making all these videos about the gamecube because there isn’t much info about it here on youtube. With GameCube/Wii SD Media Launcher, you can run all your home brew Cube software on an unmodified GameCube, or on a Nintendo Wii in GameCube Mode. All you need to do is download the program of your choice from one of the many web pages dedicated to amateur programming on the Cube. Drag and drop it onto the 1GB SD card supplied with the Media.
These require a memory card to place the hacked save game and a boot.dol converted to .gci format. Swiss is distributed as a bootable GCI. Need the help of an already homebrew able Gamecube, or a Wii (while RVL-001 is the easiest, RVL-101 and RVL-201 can have their GameCube ports soldered back in[1]), modded or unmodded to first put such files on memcard.

I’ve been making all these videos about the gamecube because there isn’t much info about it here on youtube. I’ve had to browse many webpages to get this info and especially the files since most hosts links were dead. Plus the videos that are available were crappy. (except for mine)

GCoS is for DVD-R Backup Loading, Swiss is for DVD-R, SD Loading or Multi ISO DVD-R Loading (limited to 1.4gb on the DVD-R) also has more options like running games in true 16×9 resolution and it not being stretched. Not compatible with many games though.

To compress your ISO’s use this (not all games will shrink significantly)

Burn your games? Don’t have a custom top or don’t want to use full sized DVD-R with the top off?
Then use these. The best deal I could find. I’ve used them and they work fine. Your laser still may require a POT adjustment.
