I decided to leave a review: since I see undeservedly low ratings for this application. In my opinion, the application is very convenient and simple. Does not require any specific settings. Everything is very simple and understandable! It can play both the desktop and any selected application (you need to add any program to the playlist). Very, very convenient to mirror the image on the TV! In this case, the player has controls: scrolling. reproduction, stop. You can control both from the application itself and from the TV remote control. The problems I noticed: mirroring does not start. Solution: reset the DHCP settings (in the mac os network settings). In extreme cases (if you use different applications that change the network settings) - reset the application settings (I use CleanMyMac for this).
video playback requirements: MP4, so you need to convert other formats to MP4. (I use MKV2MP4 for this - 1-minute conversion (depends on the size of the source file): I did not see a simpler and faster converter. developers 'Mirror for TVs ..' - to build in the application a simple video file converter.
The overall score for the application 'Mirror for TVs ..' in my opinion is 4.5 (under improvement) of 5 stars. Nevertheless, no matter whoever wrote negative reviews, in fact, there is no better application for mirroring images on TV, for today.
And yes, of course support 2.4 and 5Hz WiFi! Who does not connect - look for a problem in the settings of your relay equipment (you may need to disable ip6).
And yes, I do not need AppleTV now!
