This article describes an issue in which Remote Desktop (RD) Gateway server crashes during certain user disconnect scenarios. This issue causes the users to get disconnected and to have trouble reconnecting immediately in Windows Server 2012 R2. The computer is under a heavy workload. In this scenario, the Remote Desktop Gateway service crashes, and all remote desktop services connections through the computer are lost. Additionally, the following events are added to the System log, and the Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-Gateway/Admin log. The 4105 states: The Remote Desktop license server cannot update the license attributes for user 'USER' in the Active Directory Domain 'DOMAIN'. Ensure that the computer account for the license server is a member of Terminal Server License Servers group in Active Directory domain 'DOMAIN'. Re: Remote Desktop Connection.
